Bosch PowerMore 250 Range Extender Battery
The Bosch PowerMore 250 is a compact and lightweight range extender battery designed to provide additional riding range for compatible Bosch Smart System e-bikes.
With an additional 250Wh of battery capacity in a compact, bottle-sized design, the PowerMore 250 is ideal for longer rides, touring, commuting and e-MTB adventures where extra range and flexibility are important.
Weighing approximately 1.6kg, the PowerMore 250 can be mounted to compatible frame mounting points, allowing riders to carry additional battery capacity without the bulk of a second full-size e-bike battery.
Bosch PowerMore 250 Compatibility
The Bosch PowerMore 250 is designed exclusively for compatible e-bikes equipped with the Bosch Smart System.
It can be used alongside compatible Bosch PowerTube and Bosch CompactTube batteries, providing an additional 250Wh of usable battery capacity.
Important: Bosch PowerMore compatibility is determined by the bicycle manufacturer and the individual bike model. An e-bike having a Bosch Smart System motor does not automatically mean that it is compatible with the PowerMore 250.
The bike manufacturer must approve the specific e-bike model for use with the Bosch PowerMore 250, and the frame must have the appropriate mounting provision and electrical connection.
Compatible Bosch Motors
Depending on the bike manufacturer's approval and the specification of the individual e-bike, the Bosch PowerMore 250 may be used with compatible Bosch Smart System e-bikes equipped with motors including:
- Bosch Performance Line CX
- Bosch Performance Line CX Race
- Bosch Performance Line SX
- Bosch Performance Line
- Bosch Active Line Plus
- Other compatible Bosch Smart System drive units approved by the bicycle manufacturer
Compatibility is determined by the complete e-bike system and bike model, not simply by the Bosch motor fitted.
Cube E-Bike Compatibility
The Bosch PowerMore 250 can be used with selected compatible Cube e-bikes equipped with the Bosch Smart System.
This may include selected models from popular Cube ranges such as:
- Cube Reaction Hybrid
- Cube Stereo Hybrid
- Cube Kathmandu Hybrid
- Cube Touring Hybrid
- Cube AMS Hybrid ONE44
- Other compatible Cube Bosch Smart System e-bikes
Compatibility varies between model years, frame designs, battery configurations and individual specifications. Some Cube e-bikes may require a specific PowerMore connection cable, mounting hardware or manufacturer-approved configuration.
Please check compatibility using the exact Cube model, model year and frame size before purchasing.
Scott E-Bike Compatibility
The Bosch PowerMore 250 can also be used with selected compatible Scott e-bikes equipped with the Bosch Smart System.
Depending on the model year and specification, compatible models may be found within ranges such as:
- Scott Patron eRIDE
- Scott Strike eRIDE
- Scott Axis eRIDE
- Scott Sub eRIDE
- Scott Lumen eRIDE
- Other compatible Scott Bosch Smart System e-bikes
Not every Scott e-bike within these ranges is compatible. Compatibility must be confirmed for the exact bike model and model year before installation.
How to Check Bosch PowerMore Compatibility
Before purchasing a Bosch PowerMore 250, compatibility should be confirmed for your exact e-bike.
Compatibility can be checked using:
- Bosch DiagnosticTool 3 through an authorised Bosch eBike dealer
- The Bosch eBike Flow app, where supported
- The bike's compatible Bosch display
- Official compatibility information supplied by the bicycle manufacturer
If manufacturer approval has not been granted for your specific e-bike, the Bosch PowerMore 250 cannot be operated with that bike.
Compact Additional Range for Longer Rides
The PowerMore 250 provides a convenient way to extend the riding range of a compatible Bosch Smart System e-bike.
Its compact dimensions make it particularly useful for riders who only need additional battery capacity occasionally. The battery can be fitted for longer adventures and removed when the additional range is not required.
The actual additional riding range will depend on factors including rider weight, terrain, assistance level, tyre pressure, temperature and riding conditions.
