Tried and tested for over a year by many pro riders in UCI gravel series and coming out on top winning several Gravel UCI Worldcup's in 2022. We are proud to present the new GA40 carbon aero wheels for gravel bikes. Weighing in at only 1.549 grams with 40mm carbon rims.
GA40 Rims:
Offroad-Aero is new endeavour and we turned to renowned earodynamic specialist Paul Lew to help create the first real off-road aero gravel wheelset that really works and delivers on aerodynamic performance advantages. The big smile on our Pro riders faces when taking the win on these wheels, is all you really need to know.
The first rim in the Ere wheels line-up with a hookless rim design. The perfect combination with our handmadeTenaci tyres. The wheels are tubeless ready.
The GA40 rims come in a 40mm rim height and a 26mm inner width. The rims use 24 spokes in the front wheel and 24 spokes in the rear wheel. The aero optimized shape of the wheel offers a really nice riding experience. Rim weight is 488 grams per rim.
Iona SL hubs:
The Tenaci GA40 are paired tothe new Ere Research Iona-SL hubs with a 100% in-house engineered and manufactured design. The hubs are bulletproof and will practically run forever when properly taken care of. The straight-pull hubset has a low profile and a sturdy design. Its angled flange supports the directional torque going through the hub body, so it can take any beating. For our Iona SL hubs we use SKF sealed bearings. Perfect for wet gravel adventures and reliable and durable. Iona SL hubs are equipped with a 36T star ratchet system (upgradeable to 52T) body offering direct engagement in all riding conditions. Iona hubs are availablewith Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM XDR free hub body options.
Torque 2 design:
Torque 2 is taking the forces that the hub absorbs from the disc brake load when braking. When the rear wheel gets torque from the hub body when pressure is applied through the chain and cassette, it directs those forces where the material is strongest. That way we can remove material where we can and add material where needed.
The Iona hub series are as light as possible, but without compromising on strength and reliability. At the same time, we accomplished keeping the structural integrity with a very thin wall design made from very high-grade aluminium. This results in weights as low as 235grams for the rear hub and 100 grams for the front hub.
Spokes:
The GA40 wheels are built with black Sapim CX Delta/Sprint spokes. The black straight pull spokes have an aero bladed finish and add a lot of strength to the wheel. The front and rear wheel are laced to the hub with 24 spokes.
Nipples:
For Tenaci GA40 we use Sapim 14mm nipples in a black finish.
Tubeless:
Tubeless valves are included with this wheelset. Tubeless tape is already fitted to the wheels
Lifetime warranty:
Tenaci GA40 can be registered to obtain lifetime warranty. The maximum rider weight is set at 140kg.

Available in matt and Glossy finish and a variety of decal colors.
